One of the books I read over the summer, was War is: Soldiers, Survivors, and Storytellers Talk About War written by Marc Aronson. This book was about people giving their input on war, whether it was first hand stories, letters, interviews, or documents.
One thing that kept being mentioned in the book, was how everyone wants to experience war in one way or another. Everyone has a desire too, and it's just human nature, whether you admit it or not. War is seducing, and people actually want it. You experience your own type of war by playing shooting games, watching war movies, getting in a fight with someone, playing sports etc...
I agree with this because when I was reading the war stories, I thought to myself, "That would be pretty bad-ass if I go to war. The rush of dying any moment, seems pretty amazing." And then, I saw what Marc meant.
